My practice forms a conceptual narrative of layers which examines: emotion and experience; personal, political and societal identity; migration/travel and memory. I use multiple encoded images which I have evolved over time to form suggestive reference and personal symbolism.
Formally, my practice comprises painting, drawing, video, writing and performance. My 2D work relies on human depiction, juxtaposed with animal, textual and inanimate imagery. It ranges in scale from very large to small. I also make video and performance pieces which are collaborative or solo projects which supports and intersects throughout my practice.
